Two more Blu-Rays of early Woody Allen films are hitting the US for the first time – and they really couldn’t be more different. Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex from 1972 hits later this month, and the drama September from 1987 arrives in, well, September.
The two new releases come from Twilight Time, who have been slowly putting several of Allen’s United Artists and Orion Pictures films to Blu-Ray. These appear to be the final two to be released.
Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid To Ask) was Allen’s first hit. The anthology film say Allen’s talents and ideas overflowing, with many memorable moments from a trip inside the body to an enormous breast that threatened towns like The Blob (1958).
Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex is released on 18th July. You can order it from Twilight Time. The box art is above, and the rest of the suppled art is below.
September is a different beast altogether. One of Allen’s smallest, simplest dramas, it was shot on one set with just six characters. The film that is also Allen’s least successful at the box office (and probably least known).
September is released on 19th September.
All of Twilight Time’s releases are limited to just 3000 copies. These titles are already out on Blu-Ray in Europe, through Arrow Academy.
