Irrational Man, the new film written and directed by Woody Allen, is rolling out around the world. In our regular weekly catch ups, we have a box office update, as well as some new cool character posters from France.

According to our new favourite resource, The Numbers, ‘Irrational Man‘ has now earned $5,767,806 at the global box office.

US leading the charge with a very slow week, creeping up to $3,756,328. Russia ($581k), Australia ($295k), Brazil ($274k), Belgium ($247k) and even the financially troubled Greece ($224k) lead the rest at breaking six figures.

In the US, it drops to being the 38th highest grossing film this week. It remains Woody Allen’s 36th highest grossing film, slightly trailing Melinda And Melinda ($3.8m). With it leaving cinemas fast, it seems doubtful if it will even pass that mark. It will be Allen’s worse performing film since 2010’s You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger.

This week sees ‘Irrational Man‘ open in some big territories. The biggest is the UK and Ireland, as well as Portugal. Other big countries for Allen like Spain and France will open in the weeks to follow.

The French (thank God for they exist…) also have made great character posters for Joaquin Phoenix, Parker Posey and Emma Stone.

Finally, that US Irrational Man poster looks a lot like another ‘Interstellar‘.
